  • Mike:  Went to Farm and Fleet at just the right time and found 2 stacks of 9mm ammo.  Recorded 2nd episode of the God and Guns Podcast.
  • Reed: Buying a home and trying to figure out how to setup my reloading bench in my new workshop   .

Listener Feedback:

Tom:
Listening to the show on trucks and you mentioned a range truck.  I don’t own one of these but, they sure look cool.

It’s expensive $1599 and up.  I’ve seen cheaper ones that just mount in the bed but then you loose a lot of functionality.

I just use a small gun vault in my vehicle.  I don’t think they are super secure but, does give me some piece of mind if I have to leave my pistol in the car for a few minutes. Your average smash and grab thief won’t be able to get it.

Stuart M:
Comment: Hey guys. Reloading question for ya. I have a RCBS rock chucker single stage press that i load .223 on and want to start loading for my 9mm. But its slow going with that press. So i’m looking into a progressive press. Do you know what presses will load both .223 and 9mm? and switch back and forth easily.
Thanks guys
Great show

Brandon in NC: Hey jake I just wanted to thank you guys for the show I’m a huge fan of gun guy radio, just thought I’d share a funny story.
My truck broke down while I was on the way back from the range I had just got to take my 870 express out for the first time I was 50 miles from home and had to walk 2 hours to get the parts to fix it I spent roughly 9 hours total getting it back on the road in 17 degree weather and the snow listen to the podcast the whole time and actually enjoyed myself thanks to you guys at gun guy radio.
So thanks gun guys.

Joel:  Hello Jake and Zack, I discovered your show a couple weeks ago, and I can’t get enough of it.  I have two comments I’d like to make, both in regards to older shows since I’m still catching up.  First, I loved the “God and Guns” episode.  Too many times in our society, we Christians are told something along the lines of “that’s good for you that you have faith, but leave God at home.”  As Christians, we don’t have an “off” switch to our faith.  God isn’t part of our life, He is our life, and he should be clearly seen in every aspect of ourselves.  By you guys airing that episode, you have officially gained one more loyal listener.

Second, this has to do with a listener review that referenced a liberal gun club, and was not a fan of you guys advocating for the NRA.  They said that the NRA is partisan biased and is only looking out for the manufacturers’ interest, not the citizens.  In regards to the partisan bias, the NRA wasn’t advertising for any political issues outside of firearms.  Had it been a Republican saying they wanted to reinstate the assault weapons ban, and a Democrat who was an NRA life member looking to uphold the second amendment, they wouldn’t have stayed in support of the republican.  Also, an organization looking out for the manufacturers is not a bad thing, it’s exactly what we need.  I don’t have a CNC machine, I am not mechanically inclined.  I cannot make my own guns, I need Colt, Springfield, H&K, and Glock to do this for me.  By lobbying for support of the manufacturers, the NRA is ensuring that we the consumer have continued access to the most advanced, user friendly firearms for personal defense and sporting application.
Sorry for such a long e-mail, and sorry for dabbling in politics, I look forward to hearing more from you guys, especially if this gets read on air!

Hey guys, love the show. Gotta find me some grandmas spicy sauce. Anyways I recently picked up a Rock Island Armory m1911-a1 midsize which uses the standard GI sights, I was wondering what you think the best sights to upgrade to without major machining. As a Nevadan I proudly open carry everyday and I would prefer a sight that’s not too tall and won’t snag on my holsters. Thanks guys can’t wait for the next episode.

Mike Ray:  Found your podcast – probably from listening to some other ones (GunDudes, TRRP, Gun Girl Radio) I like it. Listening to some past shows (about the Gun reality shows) and I laughed about the $10K SAA build for the cowboy priest (American Guns) That is the reason I quit watching. Yea, cool you can do that, but why? I liked the skin, but not for a gun show. SOG is the best for gun smith stuff, again, why? I agree top shot is the best overall. I like the AR-15 podcast as well, can’t wait to watch the build video. Was going to start my first ar build about 8 weeks ago. Couldn’t get by buddies to commit, and now….to late. I need to wait for prices to go down and parts to become available. I shoot Cowboy & Wildbunch alot, going to Winter Range (Cowboy nationals) next month. I shoot IPSC some. Avid hunter and overall gun enthusiast.
